Guru Purnima 2026 Homam — Dattatreya Puja, Kubera Puja & Indra Homam (29 July 2026)
Prasadam : Shukra Mani (1) , Indra Akarshana Manjal, Kubera KumKum
Guru Purnima 2026 falls on Wednesday, 29 July — the full moon of Ashadha (Ashadha Shukla Purnima). Traditionally, this full-moon day is reserved for Guru worship and is also known as Vyasa Purnima. This single-day online homam package brings together three deities suited to the wisdom-and-abundance character of the day. Booked remotely; performed on your behalf in Chennai.
Dattatreya Puja — the Adi Guru
Dattatreya is the archetypal Guru of the Sanatana tradition. In the Bhagavata Purana (Canto 11, Chapters 7–9) he teaches King Yadu that he gathered wisdom from twenty-four gurus in the natural world; in the Markandeya Purana (Chapters 16–19) he grants his boon to King Kartavirya Arjuna. Honouring Dattatreya, the guru of gurus, is a fitting way to observe a day dedicated to the Guru principle.
Kubera Puja — Lord of Wealth
Kubera is Dhanadhipati, keeper of the nine nidhis and treasurer of the devas. The Mahabharata (Vana Parva) records his penance and the boon by which he became guardian of the north and custodian of wealth; the Vishnudharmottara Purana names him the embodiment of Artha. Full-moon days are traditionally observed for Kubera puja for wealth, business growth and relief from debt.

Indra Homam — Rain, Abundance and flow
Indra is the Vedic deity of rain and plenty. Rigveda 1.32 narrates his release of the captive waters — the archetype of blocked prosperity set flowing again. Ashadha is the onset of the monsoon, which makes an Indra homam for abundance seasonally apt at this time of year.
This puja is conducted by ShriGuru Vamanan Sesshadri along with his team of priests at Rudra Parihaar Raksha Centre, Chennai.
