Gnayiru Temple Timings : The temple is open from 7.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. On Sundays the temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Sri Pushparatheswarar temple in Gnayiru village is one of the navagraha temples around Chennai dedicated to Lord Sun (Suriyan), and the principal deity here is Lord Shiva. It is located about 15 kilometres beyond the Red Hills on the outskirts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. According to the sthala puranam found in the temple, Sekkizhar praised Gnayiru village in Periya Puranam. However, it is debatable whether or not this is one of the Paadal Petra Sthalams. This is the most revered of the five 'Pancha Baskara Sthalams' ( Lord Sun).
The temple is known for its beautiful architecture and spiritual significance, and attracts devotees from all over the world.
